Mission Statement

To maintain a family outreach network of support to the parishioners of St. Teresa’s

Goals

   Coordinator     Fran Reali     (718) 442-5200

1.  To identify those parishioners who have lost loved ones and reach out to them with a prayer shawl of hope, peace and love.

2.  To identify those parishioners who are ill and suffering and give them a prayer shawl of hope, peace and strength.

3.  To identify the newly baptized and give them a prayer shawl of staying power, peace and love.

All this in the name of Jesus Christ and the Prayer Shawl Ministry of St. Teresa’s Parish.

WHAT IS
THE PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY?

"Shawls...made for centuries universal and embracing, symbolic of an inclusive, unconditionally loving, God. They wrap, enfold, comfort, cover, give solace, mother, hug, shelter and beatify. Those who have received these shawls have been uplifted and affirmed, as if given wings to fly above their troubles..."
