FAMILY MASS RETURNS IN SEPTEMBER
The very popular 9 am Family Mass will
resume following the summer recess on Sunday, September 19, and will be
celebrated every Sunday thereafter. Our Youth Choir will also return on
the same date, and any of our young folks who would like to sing in the
choir should stop by the organ loft after Mass and speak with Edward
Morand, our Director of Music and Organist. Spread the word!
St. Teresa's 4th Annual Family Picnic
The 4th Annual St. Teresa's Family Picnic will take place on Saturday, September 25th
12:00p.m. to 6:00p.m.
in the Large Schoolyard

TRAINING
CLASSES SET FOR EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
Formation sessions for those interested in
serving the parish as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion will take
place in Presentation Hall on Windsor Road on three consecutive Tuesday
evenings: September 28, October 5, and October 12 beginning at 7:30 pm and
concluding at 9:00 pm. Persons who feel called to this ministry are asked to
call the rectory at 718-442-5412 to schedule an appointment with either
Father John or Father James. It is necessary that potential candidates for
this ministry meet with the priest first before registering for the
formation classes.
ATTENTION: ALTAR SERVER PARENTS
Volunteers
will be needed very soon to take over the cleaning and mending of our
servers' cassocks, surplices and albs. For the last several years, this task
has been performed by Pete and Kay Turner, both long time parishioners who
will soon be moving to a new home out of state. If we get a crew of people
together, the job will be a lot easier and our servers will look their very
best when they assist at the Altar. WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP...THE MORE
THE MERRIER! If you can volunteer some time, please speak to Father
O'Hara or Father James.
