Have you notice that for the past few weeks Father Collins has "disappeared"?
Perhaps you thought that he is on a well deserved vacation on some exotic island, away form the Big Apple life, relaxing, ...
Think again !
He's currently at Ft. Dix and he is keeping in touch with our Parish through the web site.
He sends his regards and blessing to everyone in the parish especially to those that are right now on a well deserved vacation or are about to go on vacation.

A day from Father Collins "vacation" diary ...

"Yesterday was a long one.
Briefing at 7:00, staff meetings, update medical records at the Army Medical Clinic, 12:00 offer Mass at the Main Post Chapel, 15:00 participate in a re-integration session with soldiers returning from Iraq.
After a little rest and something to eat I returned to Post at 21:00 and went with a Senior Chaplain to McGuire AFB. Chaplain Lee Hardgrove is a Methodist minister who has become a good friend as well as a great mentor. He led a group of soldiers in prayer that are going over to Iraq for their second tour.
It is quite a humbling experience to look into the faces of men and women who are the ones defending this great country of ours. They are the ones paying the price for our freedom. Before I went out to McGuire AFB, I ran into one of the post chaplains who was going out with one of the commanders to inform the parents of a soldier who was killed that day in Afganistan..
I ask you for your prayers for those parents and for all of the men and women in our armed forces.
Together let us pray for them and pray for peace."
God Bless,
Fr. (CPT) Collins
