Refurbish the Sanctuary and the Interior of the Church.

The Church windows need attention. The stained glass windows in our Church have provided inspiration to parishioners since they were installed more than fifty years ago. It is necessary now to refurbish all of these windows. In many cases, the glass has begun to buckle and deteriorate. Not to maintain them now would be disastrous for our church.

Rebuild the entire Heating System.

Saint Nicholas
Chapel
Estimate: $ 400,000
- Continue structural and decorative improvements to the chapel interior including restoration of the Bells.
- Restrooms are urgently needed (currently no water connections exists to the chapel).
- Refurbish all Chapel pews and kneelers.
- Upgrade electrical services to the Chapel.
- Repave and expand parking facilities.
The School Annex/Convent on Windsor Road Estimate: $ 200,000
We hope to continue the conversion of this building to a learning Center to provide much needed educational, office and meeting space for the school, religious education program and the various parish ministries that make up Saint Teresa of the Infant Jesus Parish.
Parish Outreach Ministry Estimate: $ 100,000
Christ has taught us that we are responsible for the well-being of our brothers and sisters. As an apostolic extension of the parish we are continually reaching out to those who are suffering emotionally, socially or spiritually to provide assistance and encouragement during their time of need. Funds generated to this ministry will also help support our “Parish Pantry” which assists the poor, hungry and less fortunate individuals in need within our parish and the surrounding community.
Providing For the Youth of Saint Teresa Parish Estimate: $ 500,000
We must always keep in mind that the future of our parish, and the Church, is in our youth. The parish is continually seeking ways to enhance the involvement of our youth within various ministries and programs. The Development Fund Campaign will provide funds for the School, the CCD and the YAA.

Endowment & Scholarship Fund
For Fifty years, Saint Teresa School has been an essential element of the parish. The Development Fund Campaign will provide Tuition Assistance to those in need, as funds permit, to stabilize its financial structure and continue its stature as one of the premier schools on Staten Island.

Three new roofs are necessary for the the three interconnecting buildings which make up our school and gymnasium.

Upgrading school learning/audio visual aids.
CCD – Parish Religious Education Program
The number of youngsters attending our CCD program is increasing yearly. We plan to enhance the learning aids and other materials which these children need to improve their spiritual life.
Parish Youth Program
The jewels of Saint Teresa are its Parish Youth Programs, which involves hundreds of young men and women, year after year, in a score of athletic, social and educational activities. The entire Staten Island community enjoys and benefits from a broad range of activities including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and the Saint Teresa YAA. The Athletic activities of basketball, baseball, swimming and soccer, and their successes are legendary on Staten Island.
Among the things we plan to do as funds become available:

Improve the school auditorium/gymnasium; add rest room facilities and air-conditioning.

Parish Facility Maintenance Fund Estimate: $ 400,000
The Parish Facilities Maintenance Fund will be a contingency fund, to support the short and mid-term needs of the entire campus. Saint Teresa parish is looking ahead to keeping our facilities structurally sound and available for the various needs of our parish, whether it involves our two places of worship, school buildings, recreational facilities or any other parish needs, all of which are important to the vitality of parish life.
